CAU VC, others call on Governor

Imphal, July 01 2025: Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, today.

During the meeting, Dr Mishra apprised the Governor of the university's recent initiatives and achievements, particularly in the areas of early childhood nutrition, health economics, nutritional economics, and the quantification of health indicators.

As per a release issued by PRO Raj Bhavan, the Vice Chancellor also provided an overview of the academic advancements undertaken by the university.

The Governor appreciated the university's efforts and emphasized the importance of continued focus on child health and nutrition, especially in the formative year.

Moreover, representatives of Uripok Apunba Lup led by S Tekendrajit Singh also called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan today.

The delegation submitted a memorandum outlining various grievances faced by the residents of Uripok Assembly constituency.

Key issues highlighted included the deteriorating condition of roads due to large potholes, non-functional street lighting, and frequent traffic congestion caused by the movement of heavy vehicles in residential areas.

The Governor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that the matter would be taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate steps.
