Like every year, this year 2005 is also gone - just like that; and a new year 2006 is welcoming us. Simply speaking, 1st January is nothing but just a day in our lives. It is just that we have given a special name to the Day.

But, why do we give a special status to this day and why do we think 1st January is - "A day to dream", "A day to enjoy completely", "A day to share smile with dear ones", and so on. Let's just have a look what's so special about 1st January.

We have been living in this world from one generation to another. We are not sure - from where things got started and where we are really leading to. Well, without getting too much philosophical, we have been living with our thoughts in this world till date, so that we could enjoy ourselves as much as we can.

Thus, many years have passed by and we have come across many moments in lives. Then, what is so special about this New Year 2006.

Taking things in the positive way is the best way to lead our lives so that we could enjoy at the maximum till out last breathe. So, let's discuss some of the ways we can make a difference to this New Year Day - 1st January 2006.

1) Remembering the wonderful moments of 2005 - We have just passed though a year and we should not forget just like that what we have come across. There may many happy moments which is worth remembering. There may be many incidents which we would expect to forget in our lives.

There may be many dreams that we could have fulfilled in this year. There may be many resolutions that we may wish to fulfill in the coming years� and so on. If we do wish to make our life wonderful and colorful, we should not let every moment of our lives just passed by.

Every single moment is life is worth remembering; since they are something which is not going to come back again. Those happy moments will help us to smile again even today when we are desperately longing for a sweet moment.

Those horrible days in this year may be worth remembering as it will give us a hint that we did suffer a lot, but we didn't give up and we fought with all our capacities, & indeed, we have come victorious. So, every moment in this year is a moment worth remembering. It is just that we have to shape our mind to think each & every moment in the year as wonderful moments in our lives.

2) Planning for the coming year 2006 - Life just doesn't got finished with the year passed by. We still have many years to pass through. Life is nothing but just a game where we ought to play till we get retired.

So, the onus lies on self how well we play in the game. None is just great from birth; & none is inferior to any. Everyone is same in the eyes of God. It's our habits that make us different. This world can't exist if there is only one type of people - all good, all bad, all doctors, all workers, all engineers, etc.

It has to be mixture of everything. So, let's plan a time-table properly so that we keep ourselves in line with our wishes in this New Year 2006. Let's new dreams, let's make new resolutions, let's do everything to bring more smiles to our lives and dear ones.

As we do know - God helps those who helps themselves, and doing good things for the mankind is welcomed by everyone; let's dream big dreams and let's prepare ourselves for the coming year 2006 in the best possible ways as much as we could. Let's make this year even more wonderful than those years passed by.

Let's pay due respect to our lovely mom & dad, our lovely grandpa & grandma, that they have given us the chance to realize whatever we can feel today in our lives. Let's remind our dear friends and colleagues that we do miss those sweet moments that we had shared together in the past.

Let's remind our near ones that we are always there for them at all the times. We may have faced many troubles and we may have been hurt a lot by many things; but, it's time for us to motivate ourselves that we have won over many hurdles in our lives and it's time to smile.

So, let's make this coming year 2006 even more wonderful which is worth remembering in our lives than before.
